My sister and I greatly enjoyed our stay in a beautiful cabin in the woods! Each cabin is a duplex with two rooms so it's extremely quiet. It's decorated so cute with a maritime theme and is scrupulously clean. There's actually even a little stove with a kettle that we put to good use. Highly recommend!

This was such a beautiful place! The grounds are so well kept and the cabin smelled like a spa/hotel. It has all the luxury of a hotel mixed with the outdoors. I will absolutely be coming back next year! There is a fire pit/tabletop fire so it’s easy to enjoy a fire with little to no work/cleanup (but they do have a traditional fire pit as well!). The owners were so kind in helping me check in early and even offer a 24/7 text “hotline” if you’re having issues. Perfect location as well. I cannot say enough good things about this place!

I’m 61 and have been coming to the Bar Harbor area since I was 2 years old. I’ve stayed at several different lodgings over those years, and this one has been my favorite. The efficiency motel room I had was nicely sized for 1 or 2, was perfectly clean and everything was in very good condition and worked flawlessly. My nights and afternoon naps were quiet and restful on the very nice bed. The property is located very close to the main entrance to Acadia NP and is just minutes to the Bar Harbor village. There are several great eating options nearby (you don’t have to go into town to eat) and there are nice outdoor cooking and hanging out areas provided. This place is a gem, and also a good value for the area.

Loved this little spot. Nice distance from the craziness of Bar Harbor. We are on a week long trip so it was nice to have a kitchen to cook a home style meal. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. We really liked this place and will stay here again if we ever make it back to the east coast.

Stayed for the weekend with my dog in late October and the cottage was perfect. Comfortable clean bed, hot shower. Kitchen was clean and I enjoyed walking around the property with coffee in the morning. I stayed in cottage #1 which I would say is the most private of all the cottages as it's facing south towards the road whereas the rest of the cottages face west. There's a fence blocking the neighboring property and the road. The road noise didn't bother me but I also sleep with a white noise machine. I wish I allocated more time to enjoying the property as there's a firepit with everything provided (starters, dry wood, lighter, etc) and a massive BBQ grill setup, as well as cornhole. It's a 10 minute drive into Bar Harbor. Careful of wildlife driving at night (coyotes, deer, etc). I found walking my dog around the property and side street mostly easy albeit a bit dark (as expected).

Decided to visit Arcadia on our return trip to the 2026 Polar Blast in Eustis Maine. Easily booked online, owners were communicating until we arrived with everything we needed. Cute room, perfect for a single, couple, and even if you have a child or two. Very clean, everything functional. Despite winter, driveway clear as we're entrances to cottages. 10 minute trip to Bar Harbor, and 15-20 minutes to Arcadia "winter entrance". During season, the main Hull entrance/Visitor center is minutes away.

Perfect little spot for us and the pup during our road trip up the coast. Loved having a dedicated parking spot right out front and basically a full kitchen. We were able to throw the ice packs in the cooler, regroup, and have a nice night, cozy night in that felt like home. Can’t wait to go back and stay a few more days to really enjoy all of the property amenities!

My husband and I are retired and do “road trips” off season along the coast of Maine during the cold weather months and there is less traffic. We recently stayed at Hanscom’s on January 12th and 13th and glad we did! ! Cozy, quiet and peaceful outdoor surroundings! Our room was clean and warm with everthing you need when traveling. The owner is very accessible and responds right away! The location is perfect for, like we did, a trip into Bar Harbor, a trip around Acadia National Park and, a day trip up to Machias and Beals to visit Great Wass Island. We had a great trip and it was comforting to know after being out all day and tired that we were coming back to Hanscom’s for the night. Added plus…we got to bring our dog Addie too!
